Youth Ministries

Youth are not just the future of the church; they are the church right now. We create a space where teenagers can feel loved, have fun, be encouraged through their faith journey, and learn more about the Christian faith. This group focuses on bringing their faith into the world, struggling with the big questions of faith and growing in their relationship with Christ. The youth come together around accountability, respect, love and acceptance.

Youth Group:
5th-12th Grade

Our Wednesday Youth Program begins at 3:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall and Youth Room. Healthy snacks are provided as youth can study, play games, or just ‘hang out.’ At 4:30, A Bible study is provided. The youth help set up for a 5:30 congregational meal. The evening ends with a 6:15 “singspiration” led by out congregation’s praise team.

Youth have the opportunity to serve the community and the congregation in many different aspects. These include but are not limited to: helping at the food bank in the summer, assembling hygiene packs for the Salvation Army and Women’s Shelter, cleaning up the kitchen after a congregational meal, and helping in the nursery or teaching Sunday School to the young children of the church.

Another part of the youth program is Confirmation. Confirmation is a time when youth learn about the history, teachings, doctrine, and structure of the Lutheran Church in order to become an adult member of the church. We use a resource called 'Here We Stand' by Augsburg Fortress.
