What We Stand For

Peace stands on the Good News of God's unconditional love for everyone in Jesus Christ. "Growing with God's grace" is our purpose.  We help people grow spiritually by connecting them to God's love.  We grow as capable people, serving our community and reaching out around the world. We grow constantly, welcoming new people to our fellowship.

Our Five Guiding Principles

l. Jesus is Lord and Savior: We are accountable to him and to each other under his guidance.

2. Forgiveness, compassion and respect for all:
We are respectful to all God's children.

3. Minister to God's hurting people inside and outside the church:
We serve those in need.

4. Equip and empower disciples for leadership:
God's Holy Spirit empowers people as they serve.

5. Show God's love with generous hearts:
Peace is a generous congregation, known throughout our area for heartfelt sharing.

Peace is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, with more than 10,000 congregations across the U.S., Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands, and 4.2 million members.  We are linked through the Lutheran World Federation to the largest global movement of Protestant churches.

Peace's confession of faith rests on the Bible as the written Word of God and the inspired source of our teaching, revealed in Jesus the Living Word of God.  Here's a link to a fuller statement of our beliefs:
